ARK

The Ark of the Covenant was central to the Israelites in their journey through the wilderness.

By centering their lives around the presence and Word of God, they found refuge, rest and recalibration for their journey.

  • For those along the Way, Home is an idea that strikes us at the core. We long for a place to belong, a place where we are known, a place of rest. But our hearts are restless until we find our home in Christ. In the tension of homesickness, we can wander and wonder where is He in all of this? Third culture is anyone who grew up in a culture that wasn’t theirs or their parents’. This tension is felt and experienced before it is understood and processed. Part of our discipleship is to gain clarity behind His perfect plan for our lives, and that in light of the Gospel nothing we have gone through is put to waste. What we know to be true in our minds, often takes a journey to become a truth we treasure in our hearts.

  • Early Christians were known as people of the Way. They followed the Way of Jesus Christ after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

In the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant was the home of God’s presence. In the New Covenant, we the believers are the home to God’s presence. The great mystery is his living presence in us — his indwelling spirit in every believer.

  • Our hearts at Ark Church are to be a space where you can be seen and known by God and community, and normalize the growing pains of your walk with God.. As you center your life on Jesus, in whatever stage of faith and journey you are on, our heart is to see you flourish as disciples of Jesus who walk by the Spirit. We see this community being a place where you are rested, known, and blessed into God’s purpose for your life and for His kingdom. A Home for those along the Way

Ark Mission:

Integrative Discipleship

To make disciples of the Way who are known, know, and go

  • We are on an exciting journey to launch an English-speaking church in South Korea. Janice and I have been on a journey since coming to Korea in February, 2022. We started to be gripped with God’s heart for Korea and what God has in store for His Church. We sense an internal call to lead a flourishing community in the heart of Seoul that is a space where people can find rest and healing for their souls, and to experience Home on their journey of discipleship.

  • Our hearts long for Home. And our hearts are restless until our hearts finally find rest in Jesus. Our hearts yearn to be seen and known by God and the people around us.

  • Answering the call of discipleship is a radical call to leave everything behind. But there are stages of our journey. What happens when we leave it all behind?

  • Often our journey is long and full of unexpected surprises. How can our community be a space where our souls can breathe and be loved in seasons of deep distress and doubt? How can we recalibrate in God’s love in moments we feel deep absence or distance from God? Burnt out and disconnected..?

  • We long to be a community centered on His Word and presence. An authentic community that can be a space for breathing and realignment on your journey with Jesus.

  • What does it look like to journey for the long haul? As we seek to center our lives around Jesus, let’s seek him and grow together.
